I just found out that I have a MI424WR Rev G wireless router which I bought by mistake (wanted the latest version "Rev I"). I signed up for Verizon FIOS Internet with the 25/25 Mbps plan and haven't hooked it up yet.
What's the difference between Rev G and Rev I? I am using the router primarily for internet connection for my laptop, desktop and TV (to access Netflix, Hulu, etc..)
Will I need anything to make it work or is it just plug and go?
I've never owned my own router so I'm a little new at this.
Thanks for your help!

The Rev. G was only common for a short time in business installs. It'll work fine though. Just make sure you use WPA2 with AES encryption to get the most out of your router's Wi-Fi, from both a security, and a performance perspective.
