How can I tell if I have WEP, WPA or WPA2? I am concerned about someone hacking into my wifi. Any other tips?
Thanks in advance.

Log into http://192.168.1.1/ with the following Username and password combination:
Username: admin
Password: the Serial number found on the sticker, located beneath the router (This is case sensitive!)
Click on Wireless at the top navigation and then click on Wireless Security. You should be able to see by means of a radio button what encryption is being used. You should set the encryption to be strictly WPA2 Pre-Shared Key with AES in a home environment. You'll get the benefit of improved speed with newer ActionTecs and devices, and the benefit of security. It does stop some very old devices from working, but many of those devices are not commonly used today.

^^^^ in addition to this I also change the SSD & make my SSD hidden, and I change the default passwords that are imprinted on the router such as the admin password, WPA2 Key, I realize these measures will not deter a determinded, experienced hacker. I also login to the router regularly and look at action zone.
I also backup my config to a USB drive in case I have reset the modem I can easil restore all custom settings.
