Error - FIOS Equipment and Accessories Store

I just tried ordering the FIOS 4 device remote and everything was going fine until the final "Process" page came back with

the following.   I'm running Win7 with Avast Subscription Security and have all the latest updates intalled.

I just completed a orders on Amazon etc so is this a Verizon issue or what ?     Any suggestions, help please. Thanks

Sounds like a backend systems was down.  Usee to see similar messages, before I retired, when I was working for a company and people tried to do things during the weekend when we were migrating software updates.  Later we built it to properly notify people earlier on that the systems were not available to complete such transactions.  We and other Companies, which depend on always being up, also tried to have multiple servers with are updated in a staggered manner, so that customers don't realize it.   But sometimes you can't help it.  e.g. server crashes while you already have the alternate down for maintenance.
