Hello,
I am paying for FiOS Quantum Internet Speeds Up to 75 Mbps/75 Mbps.
Verizon speed test results are showing 4.78 Mbps / 15.76 Mbps on my direct wire connected to router computer running Windows 8.1(this is from Speedtest.net -http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4355957089)
I think Verizon should be more specific when offering speed up to 75 mbps, I know 5 is in up to 75. But this is cheating.
Is this common practice in Verizon?
Thanks,
Grubas

Try the Verizon specific speed test and see what results you get there:
If you see the same very slow speeds and considering you're using a wired connection to your router, you'll need to call Verizon tech support for help. Those speeds are defnitely not the norm for the 75/75 plan. I typically get ~80 mb/s up and down.

Ok then...it sounds like you need to call tech support, this being a user-to-user forum.
It's possible your ONT is not provisioned properly for the plan you're subscribed to. If that's the problem support should be able to to reset you to the correct speeds remotely.
If that's not the problem, support will have to look elsewhere to see what's wrong. That may include sending a tech to visit you and try to track down the problem with your installation.
Good luck!

Try a different computer, browser and ethernet cord if you can before calling tech support

Let's hope they find a problem and correct it.
If not, you'll have to call them to come back again, and try to make the appointment when you'll be home so the tech can actually see the problem you're seeing.
