My Fios connection was installed on 1/11/2016. At first i tried the speed test and it only gave me around 40-48Mbps download/upload speed. I did some research and found the verizon speed optimizer, I installed and run the optimizer and it gave me the speed that I am paying for which is great, but after the storm here in VA my fios speed went back to giving me 35-50Mbps download/upload speed. I did all the trouble shooting that is available as far as I know but nothing seems to work on having that 100/100Mbps speed.

Two basic questions for you:
Are you connected to your FiOS router via hardwire (Ethernet) and not via WiFi?
And are you running the speedtest at Verizon's site?

If you are connected with hardwire, and if those speed results are at the Verizon site (which means the problem is within their system) you'll have to contact Verizon tech support and ask them to look into the problem for you.
