New Router

Our experience with the new router we received to give us better service is worse than our previous one.  The range is smaller, and I am experiencing intermittent internet service on devices. I called the help line that I used yesterday to set up the router, and "there is no answer" message is all I get on the phone.  Please advise.

Since these are peer to peer forums it would help if you tell us the model numbers of your old router and the new one so someone can try and help you.

For the range, try swapping the antennas. People have found that by taking two Rev. D antennas and adding them to the Rev I, you can improve your range and speed a considerable amount.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to make sure you are on a clean channel, and the router is located in an ideal spot of your home for all devices. Also, definitely make sure you have only WPA2 AES encryption enabled, so you can take advantage of what Wireless N has to offer.
