The password varies from router to router.. The latest version (MI424WR REv I) -
user name admin password is 8 character password imprinted on a label on the router.
If it does not work try pressing the reset pinhole for 15 seconds then releasing. It's near the on/off switch .
Once the router is back (about 1 or 2 minutes) that 8 character password should work (NOTE you will lose any custom settings if you do this so you may need to record them before doing this reset).
If you have another model router please let us know .. some of the older routers use admin/password or admin/password1
And Welcome to the world's best FIOS forum.

Presumably you mean the WIFI password?? It's should be on the sticker on the back of the router - typically set up as wep which you should seriously consider changing as wep security is laughably weak. You will need the router admin password to change the wifi password. If you don't know that you can reset the router to deafulst and then go and change both the passwords. Some of the other posters here have mentioned what the router password might be. The deafault user id wil be admin. My router has no deafult password, instead I am prompted to eneter a new password of my choice. Some of the later routers used the serial number as the deafult password, it's printed on the back of the router too.
