Don't worry, the live programming you're used to seeing on Speed will now be on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2. There just won't be a racing specific channel anymore.

Then you need to be complaining to FOX NOT Verizon, they are the ones who decided to terminate the Speed channel. Verizon cannot broadcast something that will no longer exist after Aug 17th.

I had to search My Verizon to learn what became of SPEED Channel. I think Verizon should have pushed that information to its customers. I don't blame Fox for not communicating with Verizon customers. That's Verzon's responsiblitiy.

They did, if you checked your messages on your set-top box you should have gotten a message saying the channel was switching. I got one.

At least in my area(s) messages went to the STB's about the changes.
