I am a new customer. Does anyone know how many hours of recordings the DVR will hold? Also, how many shows can you record at once? Can you watch a recorded show on another TV while recording one or more shows on the DVR?

How many hours depends on the type of show (HD or SD) and the model of the DVR (Motorola 7216, 7232, or Cisco - don't know the mode number). The 7216 has a 160G hard drive and will hold about 20 hours of HD and 80 to 100 hours of SD. These are estimates as it will depend on the bitrate of the program being recorded (varies channel to channel and show to show). The 7232 has a 500G hard drive and will hold about 3 times as much. Don't know the drive size of the Cisco.
You can record up to 2 shows at once (there are 2 tuners in the current DVRs and keep in mind that a video on demand [VOD] counts as one of the tuners). You can still record up to 2 shows while playing back a previously recorded show.

the cisco's are also 500gb.
the Motorola manual notes record times as such
7216 = 160 gb
7232 = 500 gb
cisco dvr = 500 gb
Motorola Guide
Table 1 – DVR Recording Time Guidelines
Internal Drive Estimated Recording Hours For:
Size Standard Digital Channels HDTV Channels
160 GB 55 to 100 14 to 21
250 GB 80 to 150 20 to 30
320 GB 110 to 210 30 to 45
500 GB 175 to 222 45 to 73
All times are approximate. The actual hours a subscriber can record are a function of program bit rate, the IPG type, and the reserved buffer space
