DVR not recording

Today our DVR will not record any shows. It is only 30% full and when you try to record something it just says processing request.
Whats the deal? I have tried turning everything off and it still wont work.

Did you pull the power plug from the back of the box and plug it back in?

Yes I did. I even made sure all the other recievers were off. And the little digital box that's for the multimedia stuff.

You can call Verizon and have them hit the box. If that doesn't work Verizon can send a tech out to replace the box.
