I just received an email from Verizon saying that they are getting rid of CBS. CBS is a major network that has a lot of shows and sporting events that I watch. The email said that I can watch local CBS programming on KPSP channel 2 but will a lot of nationally broadcasted shows be cut out then?
According to a post over on the FiOS boards on DSLReports.com (I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the post or the poster's credentials) :
"A mistake was made. This communication only should have gone to customers in the Palm Springs area. There KCBS is being removed, but customers will still get CBS via KPSP. KCBS is not being removed for LA area customers.

So, according to Heather it depends where you live if this notice actually applies, and since both are CBS affiliates I would assume that the network lineup would be the same. And they are not getting rid of CBS, they are just limiting a certain area to only 1 CBS station instead of 2.
