I disconnected the power cord from the back of the DVR for a few seconds, plugged it back in, then waited for it to cycle. Everything is back to normal.

you can get the sam affect from the online repair site, www.verizon.com/repair and click on quick fixes for set top boxes, or if you download the in home agent, you can do it from your PC

You can also do it from the STB itself. There is a re-boot selection under the IN HOME AGENT.
