Hi, lately my HD DVR freezes intermittently and the only resolution is to unplug it and reboot the box.
This has been occurring more frequently lately.
I have two other STB's in the house and neither experience the same issues
Anyone?
Sounds like the harddrive getting ready to quit. I would watch any un viewed programs and call tech support for a replacement DVR. They may wish to do an intitialize and format the drive, but in either case you will lose your recordings.
As it is the DVR also check to make sure that it has plenty of ventilation and is just not overheating. If it is in the open (nothing stacked on top of it) and has plenty of ventilation, then I think prisaz has it right.
