There are no Multi-room DVR's.  It is actually just an added feature to the DVRs.  You can activate it yourself at any time.

It works Okay under IMG 1.8, but you can only do playback.  Note that responsiveness to keys such as skip forward is a bit slow when done from a different box to the DVR.

Under 1.9 and 1.9a you are suppose to be able to do much more

  • If you have multiple DVR you can access them from any STB (previously could only have one accessed
  • record and delete from any STB.
  • Accidently deleted recordins can be recovered as long as their space hasn't been used.
