Set top box beeping?

My set top box keeps beeping every 10 - 20 minutes or so...anyone else experience this?  Have a solution?

if you're sure it's the set top box and not another device in the room, then that is not a normal behavior.  I would try the STB auto correction first, and if that didn't work - reach out the verizon live chat or call support at 1-800-VERIZON

STB auto correction can be accessed by hitting "menu>customer support > in home agent > set top box auto correction "

May also be an indication the box is overheating. Be sure it has the recomended space and the ventilation is not blocked. Or a fan could have died. If the correction does not fix the issue, get tech support to order up an exchange before the thing quits completeley. If it is running hot and the fan is not running, you may want to not use it until a new box arrives. I do not know if the hardware will auto shutdown like a PC with a hot CPU.
