I just bought an Emerson 32" LCD HDTV and can't get the remote programmed for the TV. I tried all the codes in the manual and online, but nothing worked. I also tryed to program it manually, and still nothing worked. I tried the following codes:
0181 0263 0490 0207 0205 0198 0650 3005 3008 3010 3011 3012 3013 3015 3025 3031 3186 3203 3204 3218
It does not work...are there other verizon remotes or new codes?

The user guide I have for the FiOS remote shows 0154, 0236, 0463, 0180, 0178, 0171, 0623, and 0185 for Emerson TVs.

If none of the codes worked, try this.
Instructions for philips remote. the remote with the big red fios TV button.
Before you begin, the TV should be ON and remote pointing towards the TV
1) Press TV button and hold it down. While holding TV button down, press OK button. Release both keys at the same time.( All the 4 device keys on the top of remote should flash)
2) Press the numbers 9-2-2.
3) Press the upper part of PLAY button once.
4) Continue pressing FASTFORWARD button slowly again and again until the TV turns off. (This step is searching for correct code as the FASTFORWARD button is pressed)
5) If the TV turns off, press OK button. It will store the code.
Good luck.

I've been having the same problem. Have you found a solution yet? I also tried the 9-2-2 thing for all the codes in the book and nothing worked.

None of the codes works for my Emerson 32" (bought from Wal-Mart about 2.5 years ago). Tried running 922 as well. So now we have a Direct TV remote that won't control its TV and a FIOS remote that won't control its TV. Apparently, this is rocket science.

Emerson is a "generic" TV. Built by the lowest builder. A lot of the "generic" TV's (emerson, symphonic, radio shack, etc) use IR frequecies that are unique rather than the "standards" used by many other tv's. Its not possible to make every universal remote work on every tv. They just work on "most" tvs. If the VZ remote doesnt work for it, you can always purchase a universal remote that does work for your TV and then program IT for the verizon box. The verizon box works on standard motorola codes.
