Frontier Transition: What if I want to stay with Verizon or what if I want another company as my long distance?

Because of the spin-off  of Verizon’s territory in Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina Washington, West Virginia ,Wisconsin and portions of California bordering Arizona, Nevada and Oregon, Frontier Communications will automatically become your service provider for any landline services you currently receive from Verizon/Verizon Long Distance, including local telephone service.  Under the terms of the transaction, it is not possible for customers to continue receiving landline services from Verizon after the transfer date.

As of the transfer date, all Verizon Long Distance customers in the affected territory will automatically become customers of Frontier Communications. We won't charge a thing for the transfer to Frontier Communications, however if you choose to switch to another company, you may be subject to a carrier change charge.
