An automated Verizon message calls me all the time!!!

I have never had Verizon service but a computer calls me all the time saying that my final bill is due!  I called to see if I could get my number removed and two agents have disconnected me =( 

What do I do?

I wonder if that caller is faking their caller ID and is running a scam...
