Carpet damaged during fios installation. thanks Verizon!

waaaay back in may we had Fios installed at our newly purchased home. the "technician" did not care enough to put the booties on and tracked mud through the dining room, living room, and up the steps on our carpeting.

we had just steam cleaned the carpeting a few days before this.

i filed a complaint with Verizon immediately and was told the local foreman, Melvin Ingram, would be the one to deal with this. i called back several times as it was a month before i spoke with Melvin Ingram. He does not reply to phone calls or text messages. He gave me his office number and cell number. after speaking with him he said he had to confirm what happened with his technician. this took a WEEK! the technician confirmed that he did track mud through my house. eventually Melvin Ingram finally said that I would be reimbursed for my carpet being damaged. It took another week for him to call and find out how much steam cleaning costs and we agreed on the amount. 

Melvin Ingram said I should have the check within a couple weeks. It has now been THREE MONTHS and i still have NOT been reimbursed!!!! I have called Verizon many times. It takes a half hour of being transferred to different people and being put on hold before I am told that only Melvin Ingram can check on the status of the reimbursement!!

He will not reply to any of my texts or phone calls.

I have tried numerous times to escalate this to somone above him and have not had any luck.

Verizon has the worst customer service i have ever experienced.

THREE MONTHS and I have not been reimbursed!!!! 

This is ridiculous.

Do you have pictures of the damage?  Take it to small claims court.

i do have pictures of the muddy footprints.

I have already invested a lot of hours trying to get this resolved. they have already agreed to reimburse me and i just want them to mail the check already.

i just find it ironic that if you're a little bit late making a payment you get charged a late fee, yet Verizon seems to think that this is OK to drag this out for months. In the mean time, i need to keep handing them over my hard earned money.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases".  You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information.  This should be checked on a frequent basis  as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
