Hi,
I am interested in physically moving my verizon equipment.
I have:
1. a Cable box.
2. A wireless router
3. A set top box (I think?)
4. A settop box backup.
there is a fiber cable that comes from outside my apartment and is plugged into the set top box.
A coax cable then exits the set top box and enters the backup set top box.
A coax cable exits the back up set top box and splits into the different components (Cable boxes and Router).
There is no problem extending coax cables. However, How do I extend the fiber cable going into the cable box?
Can I simply unplug this fiber cable and buy an extension somewhere?
Thank you!

The only fiber present is the one going into the ONT (optical network terminal). The ONT is Verizon's property. If you need to move the ONT contact Verizon to do so. The number is 1-800-VERIZON.

Thanks Telcoguru,
I attached a picture of the unit and the cable - it looks different than other ONT units I see online.
So I want to make sure we are discussing the same thing.
Thank you!

You have an Alcatel I-211M-K desktop ONT.
