I have FIOS for phone, internet, TV. There is a backup unit in my garage. In order to complete some electrical work I need to do in the garage, I need to shut the circuit breaker for the entire garage. When I do this, the battery backup unit becomes enabled. How can I do this without using the battery from that backup unit? Is there any way to just shut down that battery backup unit while I am doing this work?
