FIOS PRICING AND TECH FAIL HELP!!!!!
dissappointed74

I used both the online hlpe chat and the telephone call center to try and switch my service from my current provider. The best I was given was someone willing to reread the Plans that are posted on the internet. There was no willingness to work with my current pricing situation and no attempt to compete at all. Tech told me to call the call center and they were nothing more than someone who could read in english. they offered a comprable service with several downgrades from my surrent service and to make it more palleteable they raisede my current price by %50. thank you so much for the runaround and the inability to assist me. {please keep your posts courteous} This is my second attempt to choose Verizon for my services and to remain on par with everything they have been know to be in the past, have again failed to meet expectations.

I am currently with cablevisioin of monmouth. I get their boost internet (30meg), full tv package with shotime, not hbo) and 2 drvs, as well as phone with the features like 3-way that verizon charges extra for. I currently have a price guarantee for 110/month. I was willing to switch to verizon for the 25meg internet and the loss of phone features, but the best I was offeredt when talking with the custopmer service people was 160ish depending on taxes, approxomately a %50 increase in bill for lesser services, then they offered to give me a &package with free shotime for 6 moths dropping the cost to 140 ish but than back after 6 months.

$110 from a Cable Company for all of that is a good price.

Are you under a contract and when does your price guarantee expire ?

You will probably wind up paying more to switch to Verizon FIOS Service.  The Quality is far better than anything you will ever get from Cable, and they have more of it available to you (Channels and HD Content).  It's up to you to decide what price you want to pay.
