Frustration with Service -- 7 day wait for a service call >??????

Lost our phone, internet and TV yesterday Feb. 11.  The system cannot be fixed remotely and a tech must come to our condo.  Electrical power is fully operating and no one else in my development lost Verizon service.  The wait for a service call  is almost 1 week ( Feb. 17 visit).  Am I being unreasonable in expecting someone to come to the house within 24 to 36 hours after a problem is reported? I realize we were hit by a blizzard, but Verizon should have extra technicians in the area.  What is the possibility the call will be moved up?  Does this ever happen? Am I forced to wait almost 1 week for service to be restored or should I cancel Verizon and have Cox come to the house on Friday for a new installation?????

Frustrated with Verizon is putting it mildly.....
