Did you here about the economy starting about 4 years ago? Verizon has decided to slowdown the FIOS rollout even in areas they still plan to support. Those areas are mostly ones they had contractual obligations to support FIOS in. For other areas they have decided to not rollout any time in the near future and even sold off the areas, notably to Frontier. Frontier got Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin and some rural assets in California.
