Received EMail from Verizon saying I changed services...I did not!

What the heck is going on? I received an email notification saying I had changed to internet 50/25; what looks like a bill and details about my service.
First of all, I have NOT changed services, and considering me and my cats are the only ones here I am pretty sure of what has or has not been done.
Is this a false hacked email or is this for real?
