Renew bundles for existing customers

I know those bundle prices on the web are for new customers.  Is there a way of renewing and upgrading to new bundles and getting it at the same price???.  It seems like vzw is doing the same thing like cable companies where they don't give the good promos to existing customers.

If there's no way then I can just simply cancel and sign up with my wife's name instead.

They did it for me last year, but their new month to month service has given them an excuse to act just like the cable companies.

I've already tried to renew for the promotional pricing, but either the customer service reps I'm talking to don't get it, or they have issued strict orders not to give out the new customer pricing anymore...

Gotta love the way companies work nowadays... screw over current (and loyal) customers. I guess the best thing to do is swing back and forth from FiOS to Comcast to get their promotional pricing each time.

Pathetic, isn't it?

Are you sure that you can sign-on as a "new" subscribers, using your wife's name?  Isn't the address of the FIOS installations what really matters???

I agree---it is pathetic that Verizon will screw over their loyal, long-time customers by increasing their rates, while luring in new, unsuspecting customers!!   When this stupid strike is over, which doesn't allow us to talk to anyone that can help, (I spoke with a fill-in employee yesterday who could only quote to me a pre-authorized company line, which was of no help what-so-ever!!!) I plan on telling Verizon they need me more than I need them!  I can switch over to Satelite, Dish, Comcast, etc for TV, use VOIP for phone service, which is cheap, etc.  I will throw down the gauntlet---I  either get a favorable rate like the on-line offers for new customers--or I will drop Verizon.

I called last month to discuss a renewal for my triple play.  I was never on a contract and was month to month for two years.  I did have a promotion for the first year. I was told I did not qualify for a new customer rate since I already was a customer.  I was told I could sign a two year promotion and get a discounted rate which was a little lower than what I am spending now.  I explained to the rep that I wanted to discontinue my service like my other neighbors have done and then sign up again even with a better plan.  I was told "NO"!!! I explained that I feel that verizon only wants new customers not keep the ones that they have.  So to lower my plan I turned in one of my boxes.  My bill was lower for one month but believe it or not the second month it was more why you ask because verizon raised the cost of the boxes.  Now another month has passed and my bill went up again.  I called again and spoke to another rep.  She quoted my something completely different than the rep last month and said I could even stay month to month but lower my plan.  I said really to my surprise since I wasn't offered that deal last month.  I explained I think it is funny from rep to rep you get offered different rates and from customer to customer you get different deals.  She assured me that the deals that they have for existing customers are exactly the same.  I know for a fact they are not.  I have spoken to my neighbors and know what deals they got.  The rep basically made my feel like I didn't know anything.  Does Verizon think neighbors don't talk!!! I have had enough of their games!!

The package that I saw on line is basically the same package that i have now(Fios triple play) but paying over $50.00 more a month plus the cost of the boxes.  The new plan gives new customers two free boxes a dvr and a hd box free for a yr. I would like Verizon to honor that plan.  They are offering better plans also higher speeds at a lesser cost of what I am paying.  At this point I am being forced to cancell my acount and go to the competition for 30 days and then come back to verizon.  I feel that this will be a lot of work for myself and a significant cost to Verizon since they will have to do a disconnect and reconnect via a tech.   "Does is make sense to make us go thru all this trouble and extra cost to you (Verizon) in order for us to get a deal they are currently offering to new customers?  Please let me know.

My 2 years with Verizon has just happened, and as a result my bill jumped $48 last month.

When I initially switched from Cox, Cox called and wanted to offer me incentives to come back to Cox. I told them to pound sand since I had called before switching to Verizon and had given them the chance to lower my bills. At the time they declined.

Will I have to do the same with Verizon? Has anyone had any luck getting Verizon to lower their bills? Or will I have to switch providers?

I am trying the same thing.  If i can't get a resonable deal for renewal, I will jump to Cox. They want me to renew at $50 more per month that a new customer.
