Suggestions on how to Lower Bill

My daughter's triple play just ended last month and she is now paying $193.47 per month. I've been helping her with the bill, but it seems really high and my contract just ended so I'm also checking other options.   I've looked over her bill and she has Extreme HD, Freedom Essentials, FIOS Internet 25/25. She does not have any Premium packages. Her surcharges total $22.33, which also seems quite high.

She tried to tried to get FIOS Internet downgraded to 15/5 but was told that she could not do that.  Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  She is thinking of switching to another service.  Thanks for the help.

Just cancel your service and start over.  Of course, check things out first to see if you can get what you need on the new service.  You may have to do without a day or 2 but it may be worth it.  They also will try to please you more if they know you are cancelling and sometimes you can get it ironed out without any stoppage of your service.  Good Luck!

call 1-800-verizon fall prompts to billing and speak to someon on rebundling--if you do not like the amount just tell them you want to cancel they connect to elite save and usually can do a better deal.  All companies work this way.

Verizon, or maybe all cable companies, have an interesting business model. PUNISH LOYALTY.  Perhaps customers should jump ship very often. It can't be good for their business having to pay incentives and setting up new accounts vs sitting back and collecting bills.

My contract expires 2 weeks ago and of course, VERIZON IS PUNISHING ME FOR HAVING BEEN ITS CUSTOMERS.  i would have to pay the highest rate possible if I was to stay with Verizon.  What choices does it leave me. I heard Comcast service isn't great, but I will say farewell to Verizon. A $100 gift card and 30% savings is enough for me to give it a try. Of course I am parting Verizon in good terms so that  in another two years they would pay to get me back. FIGURE THAT!!!!

Because most people won't go tot he trouble of changing.

having to get all new equipment, learn new channel numbers and having to change their email (if they use provider email) every two years.

BTW, same is true for other services. Do you change your cellphone provider every 2 years as you typically can get better deals as a new customer vs an existing customer?

I wouldn't do that all of that.  I don't see what that saves in the end.  And there is the problem with taking out all of the wiring and setting everything up all over again.  I just renew my contract every two years so I don't get billed on a month to month basis.  That would be my suggestion to the person who started this thread.  The problem is that I'll bet a number of people aren't aware they can do that because there is so much that isn't communicated to us as customers.  I didn't always know that.

Customer service from Comcast has an equally bad reputation.  Just google it.  Customer service just isn't good with any of these pay TV, phone, and Internet service companies.  I'm convinced.  I've been lied to and misled myself and I really wonder myself if anybody is even supervising these people.  It's easy to find a Forbes magazine article just on that.  Sometimes I would love to take my business elsewhere but there is hardly any choice with any of these providers.  And the digital reception with just an antenna in my house is terrible. Verizon winds up being the better provider for me but I'm not crazy about it with the way my monthly bill see saws up and down over time.
