Verizon message center won't go away!

While I'm glad that Verizon wants me to stay warm, the message about Jonas pops up anytime I try to access recordings on my DVR and won't go away.  I can't tab to "live TV" because the controls just move things on the main screen not the pop up box...which is blocking whatever I am doing on the main screen.

I had the same problem. The eventual fix was to exit the dvr menu, then open the Main Menu (by pressing the "menu" button on your remote). The same message center pop up appeared, but this time it was interactive. Select "live tv" from the message center pop up to dismiss it. This dismissed it everywhere, so my dvr menu is accessible again.
