As much as I don't like AT&T, they offer a quad tuner and for me that is a deal breaker. The few shows I want to watch happen to be on the same days and I can't see half of them because I can only record 2 shows at once.
So, will we see a quad tuner anytime soon?
Actually no one has a quad tuner STB/DVR
ATT uses IPTV, which is how they are able to record up to 4 "streams" at one time
ATT is the only big company using FULL IPTV
So to answer your question.... NO, you will not see a "quad tuner" DVR from any TV provider in the near future
