So I am out of contract. The new online deals are $30 cheaper a month with more tv channels but only for new customers. I just went though support hell. On the phone they are unfamiliar with the online stuff and said that it would actually cost more to enter into a 2 year contract for the same stuff I get now. It is also better if I cancel my account and start a new one...seriously. I was then directed to talk with online chat. I swear it was "peggy" from the commercials. Session number {edited for privacy}. I had to repeat things multiple times and eventually gave up after I tried to get the number to the local verizon office that she suggested I call.

Truly is Verizon trying to provide an incentive for existing and loyal customers to leave? My choices are to continue without a contract, renew the contract and pay $10 a month more or cancel and either go elsewhere or sign up again and save $360.00 a year from my current price and get a $300 visa card. This one seems like a no brainer
