Although I can get on the Internet, I still can't reinstall my Verizon high-speed Internet service. Nor have I been able to dowload In-Home Adviser.

Did you get a new comptuer, and are you trying to install things from the CD? If you're online, things are installed. Just visit Verizon's Support Website and download In-Home Agent (the new name of what you're trying to install) if you'd like.
