I would like to know how to get rid of a message that shows up "all the time" and often turns off my computer on it's own.
It is CmdVBS-Notepad
Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run chr(34) & "C:\Program Files (x86)\Verizon\IHA_MessageCenter\bin\Restart.bat" & Chr(34), 0
Set Wshell = Nothing
Often, instead of "bin\Restart.bat" in the link above, it will say AutoUpdate\Extract_MSI.bat.
These messages pop up every day at all different times. I would greatly appreciate someone letting me know how to get rid of this problem.
I am running Windows 7 and have all of the updates.
I am told this is "not a Verizon" issue yet the message ALWAYS says Verizon and NEVER says anything else....ever.
Oh, and I was also told I could call "PREMIUM TECH SUPPORT" and they would be able to help.
Funny how you can only get real help if you fork out the $$$$$$$
PS For all you decent, hard working support techs, I apologize. I know some of you give it your best shot whether the issue is fixed or not. The tech I had COULDN'T BE BOTHERED and wanted me to fork out the $$$$$

Try this (IF YOU DO NOT USE VISS!)
1: Go to Start > Run and open the program msconfig . If you have Vista or Windows 7, just enter msconfig into the search box and launch the program. In msconfig, go to the Startup Tab. In Startup, locate any program that starts up that points to a Verizon In-Home agent Folder. Uncheck the Startup entry and press OK. Per the prompt, reboot.
2: Once rebooted, go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, or Remove Programs if on Vista or Win7. Uninstall any Verizon software on the system.
Use the system for a while and see if this solves the problem. If it does, if you wish to use the Verizon software you can attempt to use it again by re-installing it. Otherwise, just leave it off the system.

I can't find anything that points to In Home Agent and there I removed all Verizon programs from my computer months ago -- how do I stop these pop-ups?

@ LawrenceCooper. Check task scheduler for any verizon related tasks and disable or delete them. If the problem presists try the free trial of Revo http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_fr
