Looks like  Verizon has no desire to upgrade me for free.

Contacted them about it over a week ago and no response or change in service speed.

Please advise ...

I'll send you some contact info to someone who might be able to explain more about why Verizon is refusing to up your speed. That, or they will just up your speed. Check your PMs.
