Do you play lotro by chance? That can be frustrating when you're trying to play a game and it keeps booting you. Can't play a game? Well try watching a movie while they fix it, nope can't do that either. Same with streaming albums online. Of course it's not life or death but this is a service that we pay for and it's been an issue for days. I cannot get a straight answer as to what the problem is, they keep saying it's on an indivudual by individual basis, this seems like a widespread problem if you ask me. Can we get some clarification here Verizon?

Sorry to hear about the disconnects that's happening. Now that its two days since the original post I was curious if its still happening. Also I have seen someone say its happening in Pittsburgh. Is everyone who is having this problem from Pittsburgh?

Yes, I also live in Pittsburgh, PA. As of today, I am still getting disconnected 1-2 times every hour, and the connection would come back in 20-30 sec. It started happening on Friday August 3rd. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I live in Pittsburgh, and I've been having this same problem since Friday, August 3. I have a Model 6100 DSL modem, and the green light that says "internet" shuts off several times each hour, and my connection no longer works
I turn off my modem, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on, and that usually fixes it - eventually. But it takes a while to get connected again - and it's annoying when it happens while I'm doing something that requires a continuous connection.
I have had this same internet connection at this same address since 2007, and this is the first time that I have ever had this problem.
Obviously, since so many other people say they have this problem, and since they all started at the same time, the source of the problem is not at our end, but at Verizon's end.

I see that except for the one employee who posted, every single person in this thread created their account in just the last few days.
I would guess that for each person posting in this thread, there are probably thousands of others with the same problem, who have not posted in this thread. Perhaps the entire city of Pittsburgh is having this same problem.

Not just Pittsburgh. I live just outside of Lancaster, Pa.
