Yes I have filters put on the phone lines, this started happening whenever I use the phone with my DSL is on I get static over my phone and then the Internet light on the router goes out. Then when the static goes away the Internet works again.
I swear Verizon is getting worse and worse with their DSL I want to get FiOS but its not available in my area at all, hasn't been in years.

#2 How many filters do you have?
#3 How old/new are those filters?
#4 Did you try connecting to the NID
