I'm going to be canceling Veriozn DSL at end of December, Charter guy was actually going to come Tomorrow but I decided to wait till end of December since I paid for it..

The Dpwnload speed is just way to slow, I don't even get 2mps IN FACT the best speed I ever got was 180mps download and a miserable 0.61 upload! I can't get FiOs in my area so why on earth would I keep that when I can get 60mbps download speed!  My neighbor had Verizon and he said his life is so much better than Verizon, he let me go on my laptop on his network and WOW!  The speed was Night and Day! I always thought it was my laptop that was just slow anbout downloading but NOPE.. Here I'am getting banned from private torrent sites cause of bad ratio, basically upload speed so bad nobody wants you...

So I was paying 40 dollars a month for Verizon with the 180mps and now I'm paying 40$ for quad triple or more speed..

Will verizon try to charge me for cancelling them? I Won't pay no matter what anyways but just wondering if they actually try and charge people

If you are still within a two-year contract then you will owe Verizon an Early Termination Fee.  It's my observation that Verizon does not waive the ETF and will go after people who don't pay it.

If you're not under contract, there should be no ETF.

Your best source of information about your specific situation is to ask Verizon.

Good Luck.

They will only charge you if you are locked in a contract otherwise no there is no charge to cancel.

If you are in a contract then an early termnination fee will apply based on the terms you signed up for. If you don't pay it then they will send you to collections after a couple of months.

If there is no contract then cancel, pay your final bill if you owe anything and move on.
