Internet connection through wireless router

We bought a wireless router to hook up the new laptop and still use desktop through wired connection. From the beginning when configuring the desk top it would not accept our verizon ISP username and password. Now we cannot get an internet connection at all. The laptop recognizes the wireless connection, but says it is not hooked up to the internet. Any help appreciated!!

Re: Internet connection through wireless router

You can not do anything with the wireless router until the DSL modem works with the first computer. You need the DSL user name and password for your account. Until that time the wireless router is just wishful thinking. If you didn't activate the account here is the web page. https://activate.verizon.net/launch/welcome
