No DSL, No Repair Techs, No Customer Service PART TWO

My last post was locked, and is supposedly being dealt with in a private matter. Supposedly... but no, not really. I didn't get any email, private message, phone call or anything from Verizon about my internet.

 

After the FOUR appointments in one week where NO tech called or showed up, a tech actually did show up Monday -- when there was no appointment scheduled.

 

He came in, checked out my computer and modem and said everything looked fine inside. Then, he said he would go look at the box on the side of the house, and the main box on the pole outside... AND THAT HE WOULD COME BACK AND TELL ME WHAT HE FOUND.

 

Guess what? He never came back and no one ever told me what was found or if anything was fixed.

 

Later that evening, I get an automated phone call saying "the trouble on your line has been fixed."  But no, not really.

 

Monday night my DSL was out 4 times, with periods of SUPER slow connection between them, before simply going out around 11:30pm and staying out.

 

Tuesday the internet is on, but again, SUPER slow (like 28 seconds to load google.com slow).

 

I call Verizon again around 7:38am. I quickly get transfered to the tech department. I get the usual "oh gee, let's see how we can help" thing and then the lady says I have to hang up so she can run tests on my lines. She says she will CALL ME BACK and tell me the results of the line tests etc.   But no, not really. No one ever calls me back.

 

The internet goes off 5 more times on Tuesday, but finally stays a bit stable around 11:00am, with intermittant slow periods.

 

Wednesday, today,  I wake up in the morning and my internet is out.

 

My DSL has gone out 8 times today already (it's 1:13pm), and has been super slow for 80% of the time between those outages. I've restarted my modem more times than I can count. (Modem was replaced about a month ago, btw. New lines inside the house too.)

 

I bet this post will get locked too, and will be SUPPOSEDLY dealt with in a private matter.... Verizon's private help, however, seems to consist of doing absolutely NOTHING at all.

 

I just tried to call Verizon again... though I'm not sure why I even bother at this rate. Was on hold for 39 mins and hung up. No one is going to help me anyway. So what's the point?
