Slow connection, am I getting what I paid for?

I've been getting slow internet connection for a long while. I'm not very techy so I can't exactly tell what the problem is.

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium computer and a double play plan (which includes Verizon Freedom Essentials and High Speed Internet for $44.99). I did a speed test on speedtest.net and here's the results: 2111483018.png

How do I speed up my connection? Am I getting what I paid for? Please help, thank you in advance :]

Re: Slow connection, am I getting what I paid for?

This is slower than any high speed plan we offer. There are a lot of things that can attribute to slow speed. First make sure you are testing your speeds on a wired connection. We can't control wireless connections so the speed can fluctuate on them. Second Try rebooting the router, modem, and computer. This is done by simply powering them all off and then back on. Please post back if further help is needed.
