I have a new computer using windows 7 and I want to use my existing wireless westell 327 router, but the software doesn't run on seven. any help out there on installing the modem as a new setup? Thanks
Windows 7 will run internet applications like email and Internet explorer very happily without ANY Verizon supplied software.
You just need to click on the wireless icon (assuming you have wireless adapter and driver on the computer), select the wireless network you want to use, and connect to it. None of that requires Verizon supplied software.
The same is true for computer connected to the 327W via an Ethernet cable. No Verizon software is required. Just connect it up, and most computers are already configured to recognize the internet connection.
