I agree that it's idiotic that Verizon now forces me to punch in 3 extra digits for my area code when making local calls. How is a switch from analog to digital resulting in a system that is dumber, not smarter? And as another poster pointed out, the Verizon system knows when I've dialed just 7 digits for a local call since it offers up a recording. Why not just complete the local call instead of annoying me with a stupid recording? Any competent software programmer should be able to fix this in an hour or less. Are you listening Verizon?

Since I have had VZ bundle for a few years now.  Why do I have to start dialing 10 digits instead of just using my call back feature that I have been using for all this time?  How far back in tech are we going?
