Changing phone number

I need to change my home verizon phone number. How and what is the procedure to do this?  And..what is the cost? I have to change it and put it as an unlisted number. RSVP Thanks, JW

You need to call Verizon to request the number change. There will be a service charge to process the order to change the number, and have it unlisted. Charges vary from State to State.
