I have FIOS telephone and internet service. No TV service, so that doesn't factor in at all here.
A few days ago my internet and phone service both stopped working. The internet came back after a short while, but my phone service still isn't working.
I get no dial tone when I pick up to call out, and when someone tries to call me they are greeted with the following recorded message:
"Your call cannot be completed at this time, please call again later. Message 6"
I looked it up online and message 6 seems to usually be caused by high network traffic in the area. However, this doesn't seem like the kind of thing that should press on for days.
I tried using a different phone, moving to another jack, and even disconnecting my router.
What exactly am I supposed to do?
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
