Why can't Verizon provide a map or a listing of outages in an area by zip code? My area has no phone service. I put in a request for repair yesterday and they scheduled me for Thursday, 1 September. I would like to know if it is my problem or a network problem. A few weeks ago this same thing occurred and it turned out to be a network problem even though the trouble shooter claimed it was inside the house. I was without service for 3 days and so was the neighborhood.

Thats a great idea! This would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. Does this idea actually require a vote from the community?
Obviously, this is the very least Verizon should do to help those of us frustrated by the lack of phone service.
