Thanks to the nice lady on the phone and service technician who repaired our phone last week. I made one phone call and the problem was resolved within a few hours as promised. Can't ask for better service than that.!
We all need to give kudos for good service as quickly as we complain when the service is not good. So thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Hey, topdog!
Could you send that tech down to Texas, some of my neighbors and I have been sporadically out of service for over a month now. I was promised a call at 8 AM from a tech (no call...), some one at my house by 10 AM (no show...) and problem resolved by 2 PM (its 4 PM...) and still now dial tone since Friday.
How about a post in a week or so to let me know if you're phone's still working. Four days is our record since this started.

That's great news! What was wrong with your phone line, anyways?

When we picked up the phone, we got a busy signal. We could not make or receive calls. The support lady, got a technician on the line. He checked the line and said the problem was in the software and he could fix it remotely. Promise to have it fixed by 7PM. It was fixed in a couple of hours.
We have had the same phone ( land line) and number for more than fifty years. Never ever had a problem before.
Perhaps, being old has its benefits!!!
