Porting phone numbers from Vonage to FIOS Digital Voice

Hi,

This is my story...

Mid July 2011, I decided to bring all my services to Verizon. I contacted Verizon to change my double play to a triple play by adding Digital Voice. This was a VERY SMOOTH port over. I was told that in order to have this smooth process, I would have two separate accounts to begin the process, one Digital Voice and the other my TV/Internet. The port over was completed almost instantly on 26 Jul 11. I was told by Verizon that they would combine the two accounts by the 27th and I would receive a triple play and a 6 month promotion of HBO/Cinemax for free. Now for the headache.

When I noticed by Friday the 28th that my bill still said double play and my FIOS TV menu said I did not have Digital Voice, I began to get "curious". I have been calling Verizon on a daily basis since.

One CSR said I would have my phone service disconnected for 24/48 hours for the 2 services to "link" together. 28 July

One CSR said she would submit a ticket for repair and would take 24/48 hrs 29 July

One CSR said they would have to use a third party service "Potomac"  to combine the bills. and would take 24/48 hrs. 2 Aug

Do you see a pattern Here? can U say 24/48 hrs?

One CSR said the bills were combined as of the 4th of August and I have a triple play but could not give me an account number for verification.

On Saturday the 6th of August, a CSR told me there is evidence that my accounts were to be combined but it has not been completed. The same CSR said that the bills, once combined, would take 1-2 billing cycles (24/48 hrs anyone??) for the bills to combine.

She also suggested I pay the current Digital Voice bill. Why should I pay full price for something that is not right?

When I started this process to save a few bucks, and to get rid of another piece of equipment (Vonage) I had NO IDEA this was so difficult of Verizon to accomplish. The bundle deal would cut my phone bill by almost half! Sometimes things maybe too good to be true.

Right now, things aren't too good on the billing side. Perfect on the TV/Internet/Voice side as far as quality product which makes my decision to pull the plug difficult (but definitely not impossible with all the services afforded me in Howard county, MD)

Someone over at Verizon had better figure out a better way of dealing with the situation I and others that port over numbers have to deal with since all they want to do is "make us happy 24/28 hrs later"
