How can I make this happen? I had this service with cablevision. I would like to see the phone # of an incoming call show up on my TV screen.
Menu, settings, caller id, check availability. Follow instructions that then appear. Among other things a service on fios backend has to be activated before the caller id appears.
Note that for me it is usually reliable, but others often have it fail to work. The problem is the backend servers at Verizon have to send the info to your STB, rather then the way Callerid works on a phone. IF the server can't reach your STB through the internet no callerid will show or even show up very late.
