Re: In NY, astonished how long upgrade taking!

[ Edited ]

Excuse me.  I don't know who you are but with all due respect, I was merely asking what you really think, if you think Verizon is intentionally leaving your area out of the loop because I don't really understand what you are insinuating.

Now it's an intentional lie after lie like it's some kind of conspiracy?  *shrugging my shoulders over that allegation*  Maybe he really doesn't know.  I don't even know all the details of the logistics regarding what goes into setting this up from one area to the next but I think the explanation of there being tech support issues cropping up during the initial use of the program is very plausible and understandable given the limits of how much Verizon can handle at once and if not enough testing has been done to confirm that it's going to work, it can't be set up prematurely until the all the kinks are worked out.   Not having an exact date pinned down is understandable.  It's no wonder why Verizon refuses to provide an exact date to customers because if they do and  the roll out is not met by the promised date due to unforseen technical difficulties, then customers will get even more upset.  The customer service is lacking in other regards and I have no doubt that the communication needs work but I don't think your statements about this are making much sense...sorry.  I don't know why you keep posting with so much anger about this.  This is a pointless debate and I don't really understand what you want.  To be that upset over something like this is something I really don't comprehend.  When I was little, my family only had access to 4 TV stations and we didn't have cable.   What on earth is the big deal?

If you're that certain that you are truly getting the raw end of the deal, then switch providers!  Do something about it instead of continuing to complain like this and getting so mad at everyone (which is probably not even intentional) because it's not accomplishing anything.  I'm sure the competitor in your area will gladly take your business.  My competitor is Comcast which is very much the same as Verizon.

I tried to help you by offering another perspective but I just can't pay attention to this anymore.  I think you're taking this whole thing way too personally and way too seriously.  I'm sorry.  I'm just getting the feeling that your anger is stemming from something else but I really don't know.  Please take care of yourself.  Maybe the deal you're getting from Verizon really is unfair but the way you seem to be taking this out on people here who are trying to help you isn't exactly fair either.   We're not always going to get what we want when we want it in this life.

Re: In NY, astonished how long upgrade taking!

So what will you say now, mr. Guestioning, after Joe A.twitted that another "carved in stone " date of upgrade for NY/MA scheduled for 11/29 once again is delayed? Do you still think that this guy still deserves not to be fired? I put myself in his shoes and I feel that I would be greatly, greatly embarrased, moreover I WOULD BE ASHAMED for what is happening.. As I said before - this guy DOES NOT HAVE ANY CREDIBILITY LEFT.

You are absolutely right - I am angry, very angry. And I have perfect reason to be angry. Will call to tomorrow DTV to ask them if I can sign back for their TV and keep FIOS phone and Internet.

Effects other things like gadgets.  But both 1.8 and 1.9 would be effected so no reason to delay the rollout.  Lots of other problems are more likely.

Don't know if it had an effect, but last week (Friday I think it was) they had a backend problem on the east coast that made email and other logins not work.  Who knows what updates they might now feel they need to make for that.  And of course other things that we never hear about.  So they group that does those tells the FIOS TV group, sorry we need to change the xyz this week so you have to wait.

Re: In NY, astonished how long upgrade taking!

Justin, I will do whatever I want to do without your advice or order. I am free  to express my opinion on the forum weather you like it or not. And if you don't like it, this is your problem - I will express my opinion anyway. So, please, give your  angry advise what to do to to your kids and wife, not to me. I did not express any opinion about you, your posts, so, please, don't teach me what to write on this forum

Sorry, but disrespectfully to you

Oh for sure you don't need me to teach you....you have already perfected the technique of posting like a little spoiled brat! Over and over and over and over.......

So did you call today? Please, please, please, please tell us you did, and you are getting DTV, and you will go away from here immediately.
