2TB hard drives?

Will hard drives capacities greater than 1TB be recognized at all?

Is it possible some 2Tb hard drives will function, or is the limit set at 1TB now?

Re: 2TB hard drives?

We have done nothing in the IMG to prevent you from plugging in any eSATA drive... however if you have problems with a drive that is not qualified (Western Digital My Book AV DVR Expander 500GB and 1TB are the only two qualified)... then you are on your own.

Sustained I/O on the 2TB might end up being difficult... due to having to constantly be able to spool 100Mbps of data.

We are working on qualifying the 2TB drives from WD as well as ones from other manufacturers.
