Will Verizon ever offer IMAP mail? With folks accesing email from multiple devices using POP doesn't scale with with multiple devices.
If this will happen, when?
Thanks, Jim

Now that 7232 boxes and eSata are rolling out, the problem of lost material when a box dies is going to create a real problem. What is VZ doing about transferring eSata drives to replacement boxes in same account?

One of the principle contributors to computer based identity theft is the hacking of one's email account and password. The principle path for this compromise of credentials is well know to be the unencrypted exchange of credentials for POP/IMAP (and even many webmail applications) on public networks (such as the local coffee shop).
Does Verizon have plans to move to SSL-based POP / IMAP / SMTP message exchange to protect these credentials when users access their Verizon mailbox while traveling?
